In the seemingly never-ending flood of apps headed to the iPad, you can add one more: WordPress.
WordPress for iPhone OS 2.4 is the first version of the Wordpress app that’s iPad compatible. Built in conjunction with Small Society, WordPress 2.4 brings the WordPress iPhone () experience to Apple’s newest device.
For the first release, the team at WordPress () decided not to add any new features. Everything that you can do in WordPress 2.3 for iPhone, you can do on the iPad — but with an interface designed to take advantage of the new screen’s enlarged real estate.
Kijiji begone: EBay rebranding U.S. classified site
March 31 at 10:17am
SAN FRANCISCO, March 30 (Reuters) - EBay Inc (EBAY.O) is rebranding its Kijiji classifieds business in the United States as eBayClassifieds.com, as it strives to replace Craigslist.com as the dominant player in the world's largest classified advertising market."It's game-on between Craigslist and eBay," said BGC Partners analyst Colin Gillis. "It's the difference between having a subsidiary trial brand versus leveraging the big brand."
EBay became the largest global player in online classified advertising by acquiring classified businesses around the world. But it has struggled to bump Craigslist from first place in the United States.
Nestlé Takes a Beating on Social-Media Sites
March 29 at 4:07pm
For nearly two weeks, environmental activists have been using social media to wage war against Nestlé over its purchases of palm oil for use in KitKat candy bars and other products, catching the Swiss food giant off guard.
Protesters have posted a negative video on YouTube, deluged Nestlé's Facebook page and peppered Twitter with claims that Nestlé is contributing to destruction of Indonesia's rain forest, potentially exacerbating global warming and endangering orangutans. The allegations stem from Nestlé's purchases of palm-oil from an Indonesian company that Greenpeace International says has cleared rain forest to establish palm plantations.
What's Next? B2B Viral ads moving from traditional publications to iPad
Our mission is simple:
Consumers, marketers and media professionals alike are buzzing about next month's release of Apple's iPad (though probably not as much as they were buzzing about it before it was announced). For consumers, it's the latest cool gadget from the company that has led the pack when it comes to cool.
But the stakes are even higher for marketers and media professionals. With print publishers working to create iPad-ready versions of their newspapers and magazines (along with creating advertising deals to capture more consumer interest), there's much hope for the iPad to snap the industry out of a slump. Consulting firm Frank N. Magid Associates conducted focus groups with consumers and media buyers on the iPad's potential. Magid marketing strategist Natalie Suski discusses the results of those focus groups.
